Becks' boys in the stands for England's opener

David Beckham's wife and two young sons were in the stands early to watch him in England's opening match of the Euro 2004 championship on Sunday, and it looked as though Victoria had to deal with some pre-match nerves from the boys.

All three were dressed for the occasion at Lisbon's Estadio da Luz stadium, with Victoria sporting an 'England' top, and Brooklyn and Romeo both wearing team shirts with their dad's name and famous number 7 on the back.

As they were waiting for the match against France to begin, five-year-old Brooklyn was quietly told to shush by his mum after he pointed over her shoulder and pulled urgently at her jeans. Although he was probably just angling to go and get an ice-cream or something, he looked comically like a referee sending a player off pitch.

Little Romeo, meanwhile, divided his attention between the goodies he'd been provided with and what was going on on the field. A bun and some juice couldn't distract him from throwing a minor squealy fit at one point.

No doubt the boys loved seeing their dad in action, and they'll already be learning some important lessons in sportsmanship after England's 1-0 lead over France was broken in injury time by a double-whammy from star player Zidane which left the England side surprise losers.
