Her raven locks have become almost as much of a trademark as her sassy behind-the-bar banter in the Queen Vic, but EastEnders actress Jessie Wallace has taken on a whole new look – as a redhead.
The actress, who plays feisty barmaid Kat Slater, seems to have got even closer to her character’s fiery nature with her flaming new “do”.
Her change of image coincides with news that she and boyfriend Dave Morgan, with whom she is expecting her first child, are once more an item. The couple’s tempestuous relationship hit a rough patch a couple of months ago and the two parted ways, but Jessie has confirmed the wedding’s back on.
“Yes, it’s true we’re back together – and we’re both looking forward to the birth of our baby,” she says.
The 32-year-old, who was recently hospitalised after suffering from high blood pressure and stress, is due to give birth in November.
She was all smiles as she took a stroll with Dave this week. “We’re very happy,” she revealed. “Dave will make a great dad.”
