It's been a huggin' and kissin' kind of a week for Chris Evans. First the former radio ace was spotted smooching in the street with 31-year-old Footballers' Wives actress Zoe Lucker. Then, just a few days later, he was snapped enveloped in a warm hug from his estranged wife Billie Piper.
Although Zoe, who plays Tanya Turner in the ITV hit show, has quashed rumours that she and Chris are an item there was no denying the pair's locked-lip approach to friendship as they spent time together in London.
She and the 39-year-old redhead, who recently went into business with Layer Cake director Matthew Vaughan, are apparently working on a new TV project together.
Meanwhile, despite the fact that they are in the throes of a divorce, things seem to be equally amicable between Chris and Dr Who star Billie. The couple were spotted wrapped in an affectionate embrace outside the Chris' Belsize Park home. "They were kissing and cuddling like new lovers," said an onlooker. "It's clear they are still very close."
Twenty-two-year old Bille, who is due to start filming the second series of the sci fi series next month, is understood to be looking for a base in the same north London neighbourhood as her ex. "All her friends are nearby and it's a good location for most of her work, so it makes sense to move here," commented a source, adding: "The fact that Chris is around the corner is a bonus, not a hindrance.
