It was a real day out for the girls when Noel Gallagher's ex-wife Meg Mathews and TV presenter Donna Air took their daughters along to a "Primate Picnic" in Hyde Park on Thursday. The new children's event is part of a campaign to save primates from extinction.
Meg, who was looking trendy in a casual combat jacket and blue jeans, has obviously passed her fashion sense onto daughter Anais. In a pair of pink clogs and a flat cap, the five-year-old was echoing mum's choice of footwear and headwear.
With her wild child days as the wife of Oasis star Noel behind her, Meg, who is reportedly dating millionaire Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan, now lives a very different life. Gone are the legendary parties which made the couple's Supernova Heights home a mecca for revelers, replaced, according to 39-year-old Meg, by 9.30 pm bedtimes and an organic diet.
Also enjoying a day out with her daughter was former Big Breakfast presenter Donna Air, who took two-year-old Freya along to share in the festivities. The Geordie star is also looking to make changes in her life, having signed up for a course at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Apparently, she got a taste for theatre after appearing in a Fringe production at the Edinburgh festival last year. "I want to do more theatre work, so I'm going back to school to learn my craft. Being a mother has totally changed me. I want to better myself and do things properly," revealed Donna earlier in the year. With a stage role apparently lined up for the autumn, it looks like her plans are right on track.
