Personalities ranging from Victoria Beckham and Sharon Osbourne, to the Duchess of York and Colleen McLoughlin came together to honour the UK's everyday heroes at the Pride of Britain gala on Monday night.
Looking slender as ever, Mrs Beckham stepped out on the red carpet in a classically tailored LBD with puff sleeves, teamed with a pair of towering nude and black pumps. "Some of the people getting these awards are just amazing," said the former Spice Girl. "It's so emotional I was thinking about wearing waterproof mascara."
Also mingling with fellow guests Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michael Douglas, Bob Geldof and Prince Charles, were Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne and daughter Kelly. While Kelly made a striking statement in a scarlet gown, mum Sharon, like the Duchess, had opted for a flattering black trouser suit. All admitted to feeling humbled and inspired by the achievements recounted.
Fergie, who presented 25-year-old Asmeret Tesfazghi with the Carer of the Year award, explained: "I make sure I come here every year because this is what life is all about. It's the real people, the unsung heroes who I really admire."
