Since rekindling their romance, Nicollette Sheridan and Michael Bolton have hardly left each other's side. And yesterday publicists for the Desperate Housewives temptress ended days of engagement rumours by confirming that the loved-up pair are indeed planning a trip down the aisle.
At an Oscar party hosted by Elton John the actress was sporting a huge sparkler on her ring finger. But asked if she and her crooner beau had an announcement, Nicollette was coy. "No. Do you?", responded the attractive blonde.
In January Michael, 52, would only admit that it was "a very special time in my life". Although he did make it clear that a proposal might not be a million miles off. "Nicollette and I are very serious about each other," he said. "I'm very committed."
The singer of such ballads as How Am I supposed To Live Without You clearly found it difficult to do so without Nicollette, whom he dated for several years during the mid-Nineties. Love blossomed again after the 42-year-old split from her former fiancé Nicklas Soderblom last autumn.
The small-screen favourite was previously married to L.A. Law star Harry Hamlin. Meanwhile Michael has three grown-up daughters from a 15-year union that ended in 1990.
