One of Hollywood's freshest beauties brought cutting-edge style to the Nina Ricci charity fashion show in Beverly Hills on Wednesday. Heads swivelled as Kate Beckinsale made her entrance in a royal purple gown with an unusual asymmetrical neckline and ruched bodice.
Also joining the glamorous crowd at the California fundraiser were Elisha Cuthbert and Mean Girls actress Lindsay Lohan.
Clearly delighted to leave behind the battle-fatigued attire of her character as Keifer Sutherland's daughter in hit series 24, the Canadian actress was making a striking statement in a cream-coloured number with criss-crossing straps that revealed just a hint of decolletage.
Meanwhile Lindsay had opted for this season's fashionista staple, a floaty, scooped-necked white dress, which she'd teamed with leggings for a chic yet casual look.
With a slate of high-profile movies set to hit cinemas this year, the pretty New Yorker is quietly blossoming into one of Tinseltown's most accomplished and elegant young talents. As well as appearing in A Prairie Home Companion alongside Meryl Streep, Lindsay will also be seen with Anthony Hopkins and Demi Moore in Bobby, an Emilio Estevez flick about the assassination of Robert F Kennedy.
