Whether it's a VIP reception or an appearance on Canada's trendiest music channel Nelly Furtado always seems to get her sartorial choices spot on.
The songbird was a vision of grown-up glam at the weekend when she stepped out for a glitzy awards show in a white Fortuny-style dress with an outsize floral detail on one shoulder. To complete the sophisticated look Nelly's hair had been caught up in a loose chignon.
Just 24 hours earlier the British Columbia-born beauty was showing off a funkier style in a cute white top and jeans, accessorised with a colourful belt. Bubbling with energy, the 27-year-old bounded on to the MuchMusic show to promote her new album Loose.
And it's not just Nelly's dress sense which has evolved since she burst onto the music scene six years ago. Her latest musical offering promises a much harder sound than the bossa nova-infused trip hop that initially brought her public acclaim.
At home the Canadian songstress has also experienced a change in responsibilities, as she's mother to three-year-old Nevis, her daughter by former boyfriend Jasper Gahunia, otherwise known as DJ Lil' Jaz.
