The little white dress may have found favour in some quarters, but blonde bombshells Avril Lavigne and Nicky Hilton seemed to agree that black magic was the way to go when they met up at a recent Vegas shindig.
Staying true to her rock chick roots, the Canadian singer arrived at a party in the city's Palms Casino Resort in an LBD teamed with a waistcoat and trendy mid-calf boots. Of late Avril's ditched her Sk8er Boi image, but obviously still likes to keep things edgy.
Paris Hilton's little sister Nicky, who was a fellow guest at the do, was also on the same style track. The hotel heiress was in a rather slinky charcoal affair that stopped mid-thigh to reveal a shapely pair of pins and a heart tattoo on her ankle.
The 22-year-old has her own fashion connections with the desert city, having unveiled her latest clothing line there. The Nicky Hilton Beverly Hills collection is a follow-on from Hilton's Chick, a teen-targeted casual wear line that launched in 2004.
