Enjoying a day out with her two special guys, Penny Lancaster couldn't look more delighted with life. The new mum turned out in Los Angeles to support fiancé Rod Stewart at a recent charity football match.

As the millionaire singer got in some footie action, Penny cuddled their six-month-old son Alastair Wallace, at one point swinging the wide-eyed little boy into the air. Having vowed not to hire a nanny, the 34-year-old model is determined to care for Alastair herself.

Luckily she has plenty of help from Rod, who is keeping his promise to be a hands-on dad. Often seen toting his child about in a papoose, the pop star is also happy getting stuck into the more mundane tasks. "He's amazing with Alastair. He changes nappies, and he's always coming saying, 'Where is he, I miss him?'."

The statuesque beauty says the baby has brought them closer together. "Rod and I often lie there with Alastair between us, pinching each other, because we can't believe our love has created this precious thing," she marvels.

Meanwhile another glamorous mum has been out with her son this week. Elizabeth Hurley stepped out to visit London's Portland hospital with four-year-old Damian. The Austin Powers star may have been dropping in on Geri Halliwell, who welcomed her daughter there on Sunday.

With the exclusive clinic a favourite for expectant celebrities, Liz - who has been open about her boyfriend Arun Nayar's desire for a child - could also have had her own reasons for the trip.
