When England striker Wayne Rooney first rose to fame in 2003, much was made of his girlfriend Coleen McLoughlin's fondness for expensive shopping trips. The Liverpool lass has since established herself as a celebrity in her own right, however, and her latest extravagant gesture proves she's more than willing to share her newfound wealth.
The 19-year-old gave her leading man a boost this week by presenting him with a £195,000 Aston Martin Vanquish. She decided to give him the luxurious 'supercar', which was featured in the James Bond flick Die Another Day, as a good luck gift before he heads off to the World Cup in Germany.
Wayne's collection of upmarket vehicles is drawing comparisons to the amazing fleet owned by team captain David Beckham. The 20-year-old's latest runabout joins a £50,000 BMW V8 roadster, a £60,000 Porsche 911 and a £50,000 Cadillac Escalade in the driveway of his Cheshire mansion.
Coleen can afford to splash out these days, though, as she has nearly as much financial clout has her fiancé. She recently signed a £1.5-million agreement to promote Asda, and has also picked up a £2-million book deal and a £1.5-million contract with Nike.
