The celebrity baby boom continues. Hot on the heels of Angelina, Rachel Weisz has given birth to a little boy. The bundle of joy is the first child for the 35-year-old Mummy star, who is engaged to Brooklyn-born director Darren Aronofsky.
Rachel, who won an Oscar in March for her role in The Constant Gardener, hasn't yet revealed the boy's name but previously assured fans that the new arrival wouldn't be named after her precious statuette. Backstage at the famous awards show she said she'd narrowed down the choices but that "Oscar isn't among them, for sure."
The Cambridge-educated star announced her pregnancy in January on the Tonight Show and spoke of her love for Darren: "I found myself a sophisticated, educated American. He's not an actor. He's travelled the world. He's very cultured, but he's all man." Her next project will be a family affair. The Fountain, a sci-fi love story, is to be directed by her fiancé.
Meanwhile Sofia Coppola, is expecting a little one of her own with her French musician boyfriend Thomas Mars. A representative for the Lost In Translation director confirmed she is three months pregnant, a secret the 35-year-old managed to hide well in Cannes last month where she was attending the premiere of her latest flick Marie Antoinette.
Anna Nicole Smith, however, didn't need to use an agent to announce her happy news. The Playboy model made a home video for her official website in which she confirmed: "Yes, I am pregnant. I'm happy, very, very happy about it. Everything is going really good and I'll be checking in and out periodically on the web." Not one to do things by halves, the 38-year-old star was floating on an inflatable lilo in her swimming pool as she put the rumours to rest. She's keeping mum, however, on the father's identity. It will be Anna Nicole's second child, she already has a 20-year-old son from a previous relationship.
