The only ladies in red when Baywatch beauty Pamela Anderson turned up to be inducted into her country's Walk Of Fame were the two female Canadian Mounties by her side. Even in a black floor-length gown that was quite demure by her standards, the effervescent blonde made quite a splash thanks to her two smartly dressed attendants.

Since the day she was born there's been something special about Pam. The Playboy cover girl came into the world in the early hours of July 1, 1967 the 100th anniversary of the country's official founding, and has been making waves ever since. "That's where it all started," quipped the nation's "Centennial baby".

Meanwhile The Mummy star Brendan Fraser was also honoured at the Toronto ceremony. After posing with the Mounties, the affable actor revealed that his great-grandfather had served with the force. Brendan added that the officers had taught him the proper way to salute. "It's slow up, quick down,” was his tip.

The Walk Of Fame has been going strong since 1998, with previous inductees including Alanis Morissette, Jim Carrey and Kiefer Sutherland, who spent much of his childhood in the country.

It was a busy weekend for Pamela who also hosted the Toronto Fashion Cares benefit for AIDS in the rather more daring outfit of a plunge-necked satin frock. The curvaceous actress had been lovingly dressed by design duo Dean and Dan Caten, who make up Dsquared2. And she looked so hot the twin brothers couldn't resist escorting her personally to the do, in matching scarlet jackets, bow ties and jeans.
