Immaculately-presented A-list ladies may not be the first thing that springs to mind when one thinks of football fans, but there was no shortage of shapely beauties cheering from the sidelines at England's game against Paraguay on Saturday.
Some 65,000 fans travelled to Germany to see the team's opening game, but none was shouting louder than the players' wives and girlfriends who had jetted in to see the clash.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, it was David Beckham's wife Victoria who turned the most heads. Looking cool in her trademark oversize shades, the former Spice Girl sat with their son Romeo in her arms as her husband led his side to a 1-0 victory.
And although the players themselves were being careful not to get too carried away with the celebrations, their partners were obviously intent on painting the town red. Wayne Rooney's fiancée Coleen McLoughlin met up with Joe Cole's leading lady Carly Zucker and Alex Curran, the apple of midfielder Steven Gerrard's eye, for a night of hi-jinks at a bar in nearby Baden Baden on Saturday night.
Also in attendance for the bash was Frank Lampard's model fiancée Elen Rives. Given that she originally hails from Spain, the Latin stunner might have been forgiven for feeling uncertain about where her loyalties should lie, but there was no doubt about the curvaceous beauty's allegiances when she jumped up on a table to make a toast to the England team's victory.
With three little boys to look after, Victoria wasn't able to make it along to the shindig, but there's little doubt that she'll be finding time to meet up with the other girls, too. She has already taken Theo Walcott's girlfriend Melanie Slade under her wing, and, according to newspaper reports, the stylish brunette has now struck up a friendship with Ashley Cole's popstar girlfriend Cheryl Tweedy.
