Popular TV presenter Cat Deeley is well on her way to making it in Tinsletown. The Birmingham-born beauty decided to try her luck in Hollywood last year and has now landed a big TV deal that's proving a ratings winner in the US.

The beautiful blonde has 'stars in her eyes' after winning the presenting job for So You Think You Can Dance, the American version of the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing. As her new show draws in more than ten million viewers, Cat looks set to follow in the footsteps of Simon Cowell who found fame across the pond with American Idol.

It's a fresh beginning for Cat who split with her publicist boyfriend Mark Whelan before moving to the States: "I'd reached a point in the UK where I was very established and doing lovely work," she explains. "I could have gone off and had babies and worked for three months a year. But I'm 29 years old and I just feel I want to do more. Actually, I want to do everything."

If the former CD:UK presenter needs further inspiration, she just has to step out of her rented pad in the Hollywood Hills. "It's amazing," she says, "I just have to walk out into my garden, look up, and see the Hollywood sign."
