At first glance, a curvaceous Baywatch babe, a sci-fi super-sleuth and a British fashion guru might seem unlikely bedfellows. Pamela Anderson and Stella McCartney stood shoulder to shoulder with former X-Files actress Gillian Anderson when the three women met up for an animal rights event in London, however.
The showbiz trio joined forces in Stella's boutique for a fundraising event staged by People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals. And although Gillian and Stella were both garnering quite a bit of attention, their voluptuous blonde companion made light work of stealing the show.
"I'm here to hopefully raise a lot of money and if we raise enough I'll strip naked in the shop window," declared Pamela as the shindig got underway. And the Stacked actress was true to her word, happily dispensing with her white dress and bikini top when enough donations had been received. Passers-by didn't get to see the mum-of-two entirely "au naturelle", though, as a strategically-positioned banner with the slogan "we'd rather bare skin than wear skin" covered her essentials.
Beforehand, the Canadian bombshell had presented awards to a series of big names in recognition of their animal rights efforts. Veteran rocker Chrissie Hynde was honoured for putting pressure on fast food and clothing companies, while legendary tennis player Martina Navratilova received an award for her campaigning work. "I've been an animal lover all my life and I don't think people know about the stuff that goes on," said the nine-time Wimbledon champ.
