Rod and Penny step out for David Frost's summer bash

Rod Stewart is clearly unafraid of heights, as he proved when he stepped out with fiancée Penny Lancaster at Sir David Frost's summer party on Wednesday. The leggy model towered over her rocker love as she donned a pair of killer heels for the annual shindig, leaning on her husband-to-be for support.

The couple, who recently celebrated their son Alastair's baptism in Edinburgh and are currently planning their wedding, were just some of the famous faces to attend one of the social calendar's highlights.

Veteran broadcaster Sir David and his wife Lady Carina, who hosted the bash at Chelsea's Carlyle Square, welcomed stars of British TV including Carol Vorderman, Bruce Forsyth and Esther Rantzen as well as political leader David Cameron and socialite Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, with the help of their three sons.

Among the most elegantly-turned out was Chris Tarrant's Danish wife, Ingrid, in a floaty cream shift. And the popular disc jockey clearly thought she looked fabulous, too, planting a tender kiss on her forehead.

Jemima Khan and Hugh Grant appeared similarly loved-up. They have been regular guests at the Frost party since getting together at the same event in 2004 and although she left the huge diamond ring she's recently been sporting at home, the pair gave the impression that reports of a rift are far from the truth.
