The divorce lawyers who once represented Prince Charles and Princess Diana will once again be locking horns as they hammer out an agreement between Paul McCartney and his estranged wife Heather Mills.
Just last week it was confirmed Fiona Shackleton, who acted for Charles back in 1996, would be representing the former Beatle. And it has now been revealed that Anthony Julius, the man who famously won a £17 million settlement for the Princess of Wales, has agreed to take on Heather's case.
Ms Shackleton, whose sharp negotiating skills have earned her the nickname "Steel Magnolia", and Mr Julius, who is better known in the media as "Mr Payout", are both well-accustomed to intense public interest. But even though their previous dealings centred on one of the most talked-about splits of modern times, the financial stakes are likely to be even higher this time around.
With an estimated fortune of £825 million, Sir Paul is considerably richer than Britain's first-in-line. And the fact he and his wife did not sign a pre-nuptial agreement before making their vows in 2002 is likely to make it more difficult for them to reach a mutually acceptable deal.
