There was no disguising Rod Stewart's happiness as he was photographed with his two favourite babes this week. The rock veteran, who has been enjoying a cruise on the Mediterranean, was snapped with fiancée Penny Lancaster and new baby Alastair as the family dropped anchor in the Riviera resort of St Tropez.
Keeping his cool in a loose pink shirt and matching baseball cap, the 61-year-old smiled affectionately at his wife-to-be as she held their eight-month-old son. A few days earlier, when they were spotted on the Italian island of Capri, it was Rod who took on the parenting duties while Penny enjoyed a break.
The 35-year-old model recently revealed that becoming a mother has made her feel a little over-emotional. "Things like seeing Rod cuddling Alastair would set me off crying," she confessed. "I remember writing in my diary after three weeks 'today I didn't cry'."
And despite being famed for her slender physique, the blonde bombshell insists she was in no hurry to lose the extra pounds she put on while breastfeeding. "What's more important, getting slim or feeding Alastair?" she said. "It's no contest."
