After the successes of business ventures such as Planet 24 and deckchair.com, Sir Bob Geldof has accumulated enough wealth to be sure his children are well looked after. It seems his second daughter Peaches is quite capable of looking after herself, though, as the 17-year-old has apparently earned in excess of £250,000 in the last year.
The ubiquitous teenager, who describes herself as a "mover and shaker", made the revelation of her impressive earnings on her website. Despite the fact that most girls her age are still financially dependent on their parents, Peaches has been hard at work for some time now. She has already hosted two documentaries for Sky Television while also writing a column for the Sunday Telegraph arts section.
And the determined young woman, who attends Queen's College in Central London, now looks set to make her name as a DJ. She and her friend Fifi Brown made their debut at a music festival in Ibiza this week.
Sir Bob isn't the only high-profile impresario whose little girl has a head for business, however. Donald Trump's 24-year-old daughter Ivanka, who heads up her father's property development division, has just received a letter of special commendation after completing a course in construction management at New York University. She has previously studied finance and real estate at the University of Pennsylvania and has also worked for another property firm as assistant project manager.
