The Whole Ten Yards' Natasha Henstridge and Rachel Blanchard, star of one of summer's hottest flicks, Snakes on a Plane, looked fabulous in summer white at a fundraising book launch for victims of Hurricane Katrina in Los Angeles this week.

The book, entitled Love Letters To The South, features photos of the glamorous actresses along with their hand-written messages of hope to New Orleans residents. Half of the proceeds from the sale of each copy – available in stores this week to mark the first anniversary of the disaster - will go to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund and Habitat for Humanity.

"Hope, faith, love are more powerful than any hurricane," writes Newfoundland-born Natasha. Justin Timberlake, Johnny Depp and fellow Canadian Shawn Ashmore are among the other celebrities who join Rachel and Natasha in the book.

The blonde bombshells' Hollywood careers are as hot as they are this summer. In a film that has movie-goers across North America on the edge of their seats, Rachel plays lapdog-carrying rich girl Mercedes, one of the passengers threatened when an assassin lets loose a crate of deadly reptiles on an aircraft.

Meanwhile Natasha, who starred in TV series Commander In Chief with Geena Davis, is busy filming Rick Hansen: Heart of a Dragon, based on the life of the paraplegic hero, who raised funds for charity with an epic journey across four continents.
