David and Billie lead the charge at glitzy TV Quick Awards

Doctor Who and his glamorous sidekick Rose took a well-earned break from battling the daleks to collect some trophies in London this week. David Tennant and his co-star Billie Piper were both basking in glory after they scooped the best actor and best actress prizes at the TV Quick and TV Choice Awards.

The intrepid pair were just two of the famous faces rubbing shoulders in the upmarket Dorchester hotel, though. Geordie duo Ant and Dec were also grinning from ear to ear after they picked up the gong for best reality show, thanks to their collaboration on I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here, while David Walliams and Matt Lucas likewise had reason to celebrate after their show Little Britain won best comedy.

EastEnders picked up the coveted best soap award, while Coronation Street actor Bradley Walsh was named best soap actor. The mean streets of Walford and Weatherfield seemed a million miles away from London's Park Lane, however, as the upmarket venue sparkled with glamorous gowns and blazing flashbulbs.

Albert Square regular Jodi Albert was dressed to impress in off-the-shoulder black, while Rovers Return barmaid Kym Marsh looked equally stunning in a tight-fitting halterneck creation. Celebrity Love Island presenter Fearne Cotton also caused quite a stir when she made her entrance in a risque leopard skin affair and chart-topper turned TV star Myleene Klass likewise made her mark in low-cut silver.
