London's Royal Opera house is the setting for many a classical performance, but judging by the guest list at Tuesday's GQ awards, the stage was set for some non-traditional fun as Kelly Osbourne, John Galliano and Billie Piper partied the night away.

Making a rare appearance in his home country, Paris-based Galliano joined an eclectic host of British stars and international celebs at the men's magazine gala - where he was honoured as designer of the year. Sporting his trademark quiff and leopard print boots, the enfant terrible of fashion was the perfect gentleman as he escorted rock chick Kelly.

Despite it being mainly a night for the boys, there were more than a few ladies stealing the limelight including Erin O'Connor and Naomi Campbell, while former Doctor Who star Billie picked up the only female award of the night after being named woman of the year.

Her latest accolade comes just days after she scooped the best actress award at the TV Choice and TV Quick awards. Accompanied by Brit actor James Nesbitt, Billie was eye-catching in a bright red Diane Von Furstenberg dress, with matching scarlet lips.

Also celebrating was best chef winner Jamie Oliver who partied alongide ex-Spice Girl Emma Bunton - and the winner of international man of the year, Justin Timberlake. The cheeky chef's down-to-earth wife, Jools, was clearly determined to make the most of the evening as she boogied on the dance floor in disco-diva style. The former model, whose style doesn't usually run to anything so forceful, made a groovy statement in retro, high-waisted gold trousers that showed off her endless legs.
