Elizabeth Hurley and Naomi Watts take their altruistic efforts seriously, but there's obviously no reason that doing good works and having a good time can't go together. Indeed both women seemed to be having a whale of a time when they were snapped out and about at separate charity events in the Big Apple this week.
The Australian actress was photographed laughing energetically as she shared a joke with Italian siren Isabella Rossellini at a glitzy bash staged to raise funds for New Yorkers For Children.
And they weren't the only ones enjoying themselves at the upmarket Cipriani's 42nd Street venue, as Lord Of The Rings beauty Liv Tyler was likewise seen having a giggle with up-and-coming actress Georgina Chapman.
Not far away in Bloomingdale's department store, meanwhile, Elizabeth was likewise whooping it up with cosmetics boss Evelyn H Lauder.
The 41-year-old model and her American friend both saw the funny side of things as they presented a new recipe book. And the two women will have plenty of opportunity to joke with each other in the days ahead, as they are planning a series of public appearances to promote In Great Taste, which is being sold to raise money for breast cancer awareness.
