There was a whole lot of shaking going on in New York's Rockefeller Center at the weekend as blonde bombshell Pamela Anderson jetted into the Big Apple to see her leading man, Kid Rock, in action. The pair, who tied the knot in the South of France - as well as a host of other venues - over the summer, were in town for a TV special marking the 71st birthday of legendary rocker Jerry Lee Lewis.
At the downtown venue Kid joined the Fifties icon in belting out a rendition of Honky Tonk Woman, while Jerry pounded out the beat on a red baby grand in his own inimitable style. Also lending their vocals to the nostalgic treat were Tom Jones, Don Henley, Chris Isaak and Norah Jones.
The Louisiana-born musician – who is signed to the Sun Records label – is currently celebrating the release of his first album in a decade, Jerry Lee Lewis: Last Man Standing. Explaining his choice of title for the new disc, Jerry quipped that out of his fellow label mates, who included Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley and Roy Orbison, "I am the last man standing, and the last one breathing."
While Pamela was on hand for the rock'n'roll festivities, the couple's New York trip wasn't all work and no play. The loved-up duo also took time out to enjoy a romantic evening together at trendy Japanese eaterie Nobu.
