The spotlight was firmly on unlikely pals Victoria Beckham and Katie Holmes last Friday as the celebrity mums enjoyed the last moments of their girlie two-day sojourn in Paris.
Tom Cruise's fiancée joined the former Spice Girl in the French capital on Thursday for the fashion week extravaganza and some serious shopping.
Following fashion protocol, the highly-groomed pair turned up at the Chanel show wearing the French house's label – traditional Chanel tweed for Katie and a layered white frock for her pal. The friends later hooked up with fellow front-row guests rapper Kanye West and rocker Lenny Kravitz for a group photocall before moving on to the Giambattista Valli runway.
Just an hour later Victoria, 32, had changed into a short fitted dress with black bolero, while the former Dawson's Creek actress opted for a glamorous Giambattista Valli black strapless gown. Both teamed their ensembles with vertiginous heels. Despite the early hour - it was only midday - Katie clearly felt fabulous in the stunning eveningwear. "It's beautiful, so why not," she declared.
Katie, 27, who gave birth to her daughter Suri in April, has been getting to know the footballer's wife since she started dating Tom Cruise - who is a friend of the British couple - two years ago. Victoria has reportedly given the young actress tips on motherhood as well as her special area of expertise – fashion.
The mum-of-three has already created jeans, handbags and a hugely popular range of sunglasses under her DVB label. "I've dreamed of doing my own clothing line even before I was a Spice Girl," she told Harpers Bazaar recently. "And I've found I'm really good at it."
