She said she doesn't want to be known as "baby" any longer and it looks like Emma Bunton will be leaving that tag behind forever when she becomes a married woman next spring.
The former Spice Girl is set to tie the knot with her on-off boyfriend of eight years, singer Jade Jones. A source close to the couple, who have kept details of the big day secret, has revealed they are likely to head up the aisle in March.
It remains to be seen whether her former bandmates will be chosen as bridesmaids, but it looks as though Melanie Brown - formerly Scary Spice - could be following her lead, as her relationship with Hollywood funnyman Eddie Murphy becomes increasingly serious.
Light-footed Emma, 30, will have no problems impressing her wedding guests during the couple's traditional first dance as she is currently wowing her fans in reality TV show Strictly Come Dancing, and is the bookies' favourite to win the show. Her beau, with whom she already shares her North London home, is the former lead singer of Damage. Now with the band CherryBlackStone, he also won Channel Four's celebrity sports show The Games earlier this year.
Wedding plans are also mooted in the Kate Moss camp. The supermodel is reportedly set to wed Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty, 27, on the Spanish island of Ibiza in the new year. According to sources she will celebrate her 33rd birthday there by becoming Mrs Doherty in front celeb pals Sadie Frost, Jude Law and Elton John.
Pete's uncle Phil Michels revealed to reporters "no expense will be spared". "Pete told me they're getting married next January in Ibiza... They were going to wed in Ibiza this year but they couldn't because he was in rehab."
