Two of Canada's hunkiest leading men, Ed's Tom Cavanagh and Dawson's Creek star Joshua Jackson, joined a roll-call of Hollywood stars at galas in New York and LA on Monday night.
Ottawa-born Tom took time out from his busy schedule shooting CBS comedy My Ex-Life with Lost star Cynthia Watros, for a good cause this week. The 42-year-old father of one mingled with a host of famous faces at a New York medical research fundraiser.
Sarah Jessica Parker's actor husband Matthew Broderick and newsreader Katie Couric also lent their support to the cocktail and dinner event, which was hosted by comedian and reality show host Caroline Rhea at the exclusive Cipriani restaurant.
Tom, who has a reputation for being one of Hollywood's nice guys, is a hot property at the moment. The former Love Monkey lead is currently appearing in kiddie flick How To Eat Fried Worms and is set to star in the romantic comedy Gray Matters alongside Heather Graham which will be filmed in New York and Vancouver.
Meanwhile, fellow Canuck Joshua walked the red carpet in Los Angeles alongside some of the industry's hottest A-listers at the Hollywood Film Festival's awards gala. The 28-year-old was picking up the ensemble acting of the year gong along with his Bobby cast members Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher, Sharon Stone and Christian Slater.
In the Emilio Estevez-directed movie Joshua plays one of the 22 people who were at the Ambassador Hotel when Senator Robert F Kennedy was assassinated. The film, his biggest project to date, had its world premiere at the Toronto film festival in September and goes on general release in North American cinemas in mid-November.
