Legendary music producer Quincy Jones was congratulated by a roll-call of showbiz stars when he was honoured at a glitzy party in Beverly Hills this weekend. It was soul sensation Whitney Houston who made the biggest impression on photographers gathered outside the event, however, as she made her entrance looking positively stunning.
The 43-year-old, who was making her first public appearance since filing for divorce from singer husband Bobby Brown, was very much the belle of the ball on Saturday night. Looking fresh and radiant in a dramatic, figure-hugging gown, the veteran performer caused quite a stir at the Carousel of Hope event.
Fans of the chart-topping diva will be delighted to see her back on form, as her healthy appearance was in stark contrast to photographs taken last year that showed her looking gaunt and troubled. The images were accompanied by reports the chanteuse, whose estranged husband has had several run-ins with the police, was losing a battle with subtance addiction.
The singer seemed to have left those difficult times behind when she turned up to the exclusive shindig on the arm of music boss Clive Davis, though.
Whitney wasn't the only one who managed to cause a stir at the exclusive bash, as many of the other guests were also looking spectacular. Halle Berry, who recently turned 40, was youthful in a sexy mini-skirt, while the ever glamorous Sharon Stone turned up the heat in a shimmering silver gown. Among the other famous faces dressed to impress at the Beverly Hilton do were Andie MacDowell, Nicky Hilton, Minnie Driver and Desperate Housewives favourite Teri Hatcher.
