Canadian heart-throb Hayden Christensen and The OC's Rachel Bilson created quite a stir as they were arrested at gunpoint by Italian police in Rome on Friday. The confrontation, which led to the pair being handcuffed and taken away, was just a scene from the duo's new thriller Jumper, however.
The project is the latest from Mr And Mrs Smith director Doug Liman, who has put together an all-star cast, including Hayden's Star Wars co-star Samuel L Jackson and young British actor Jamie Bell.
For Vancouver-born Hayden, 25, the flick marks a return to familiar territory as he filmed Chasing Temptation alongside Rachel's fellow The OC star Mischa Barton in Italy earlier this year.
In-demand Rachel is currently juggling her Hollywood career with shooting series four of The OC in LA. The actress is relishing her packed schedual, though, and thanks the teen drama for the stream of work offers. "Everything I have is because of this show and I'm so grateful for that," she says, adding that she's now setting her sights on "the roles that Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson are offered". Her hunky Jumper co-star's profile is set to rocket even further, too, with the eagerly anticipated December release of Factory Girl, in which he stars alongside hot property Sienna Miller.
