But in real life the London-born actress has already found her leading man, jazz crooner Michael Buble. And the busy duo were making the most of their time together on the weekend as they shared laughs and kisses on the red carpet.
The Devil Wears Prada star had jetted in from LA - where she is currently filming The Jane Austen Book Club with Maria Bello and Kevin Zegers - to be by her man's side. Turning heads in a scarlet dress, the Brit beauty was in a playful mood as she supported her beau who was performing at a charity gala.
Thirty-one-year-old Michael's romance with the pretty brunette seems to be going from strength to strength despite their work commitments. His new album will feature an original song titled Everything which is said to be written for her.
Emily is clearly enamoured with her Canadian boyfriend's hometown and relishes the chance to be in Vancouver with him whenever she can. "I love it, it's become a home from home," the 23-year-old actress said.
It was Emily who made the first move when she approached him at an awards event in May last year. "I'd been a fan of his for a long time before we met," she revealed. "I went up to him and told him I thought he was great, which I usually cringe at - I never, ever go up to tell famous people they're great, it's just too embarrassing! But I did this time and we got talking… and we ended up talking all night."
