Celine Dion put on the glitz as she launched her third fragrance in the Big Apple last week. The Grammy-winning chanteuse was back on dazzling form after illness forced her to cancel a recent series of concerts.
Wearing an elegant floor-length creation by Australian designer Collette Dinnigan, the 38-year-old superstar introduced her latest scent Enchanting at the opulent Peninsula Hotel. A floriental fragrance laced with a hint of orchid and gardenia and completed with exotic notes of sandalwood and berries, the perfume's elongated bottle was inspired by the long, flowing gowns often worn on stage by the Quebec-born singer.
The mum-of-one was also in town to have her vocal chords tended to by her renowned New York-based voice coach and medical experts. The past few weeks haven't been easy for the songstress, who has been taking a break from performing at her nightly Las Vegas show, A New Day, at Caesars Palace Colosseum after suffering from bronchitis.
Hoping to make her stage return on December 28, she is now back in Montreal for the holiday season. Celine, who is the youngest of 14 brothers and sisters, flew home last Thursday to spend Christmas with her husband Rene Angelil, their five-year-old son, Rene Charles, and her large family. Enchanting is due to hit Canadian stores in April.
