Musical couple Diana Krall and Elvis Costello had a doubly special day last week as the pair welcomed twin boys, Dexter Henry Lorcan and Frank Harlan James, on their third wedding anniversary.

"We are ecstatic!" said a statement issued by the excited couple, who divide their time between homes in British Columbia and New York. "Mother and sons are doing splendidly." While the twins are the 42-year-old jazz singer-songwriter's first children, Elvis, 52, has an adult son Matthew from a previous marriage.

"I got a call from Elvis yesterday and they're over the moon, they're so, so happy," said the loved-up pair's manager Sam Feldman. "We've already got the children signed," he joked.

Though the twins may well inherit their parents' impressive vocal talents, one thing they won’t be sharing is a wardrobe. Before giving birth Diana promised not to dress her twins in the same outfits. "No, I won't be doing that!" she said.

The Nanaimo-born chanteuse, who was busy recording her new album and touring North America and Europe right up until the birth, has a lot to be excited about. Last week, she received a Grammy nomination for best jazz vocal album for From This Moment On, which was released in September. And it's not the first nod she's had for the coveted gong, earning one in 1999 for When I Look Into Your Eyes and also in 2003 for Live In Paris.
