When it comes to judging Big Brother contestants Hellomagazine.com readers are spot on it seems. On our online poll to predict the show's first exits 33 per cent believed Donny Tourette would be first to leave while 15 per cent said Ken Russell would be next.
And sure enough internationally acclaimed film director Ken followed in Donny's footsteps on Sunday, quitting the reality TV house after clashing with surprise guest Jade Goody.
The 79-year-old walked out when former dental nurse and previous BB contestant Jade, told him off for helping himself to a plate of cheese and crackers. It happened just hours after punk singer Donny jumped over the garden wall after being told he had to be one of the housemates acting as 'slaves' to Jade - who arrived on Friday with her mum and boyfriend Jack.
"There was a great deal to enjoy in the house and I'm sincere about that," said Ken in the diary room. "I knew there'd be a few surprises, but not of the kind I experienced. I am a big old fuddy duddy and some of the surprises were a little too much to take for someone of my sensibility."
Ken should have waited for a fellow housemate 'slave' to serve him his snack, but he went ahead despite 25-year-old Jade's admonitions. "You couldn't wait for your hungry belly," said Jade, with Ken retorting: "I think you're slightly demented, darling."
To date Seventies pop singer Leo Sayer is favourite to win the three-week-long contest, with competition in the form of Michael Jackson's brother Jermaine Jackson and ousted beauty queen Danielle Lloyd among others.
