Keith Urban has praised his wife Nicole for staying "extraordinarily strong and loving" during his three-month stint in a rehab clinic. And, now back to making music, the Country star is clearly a big fan of married life, having written a song about his other half.
In a video message posted on his website, the singer, who was forced to take time out of his schedule just before his 39th birthday, revealed: "There was no big cataclysmic event that happened right before I went in."
He added: "It was a lot of small moments that were starting to accumulate that were telling me very loud and clear that I was a long way from my programme of recovery". The singer posted the comments after making his first post-rehab public appearance on German TV. He's announced three tour dates in the UK in April, and says he's relieved to be back making music.
"It feels really good to have gone through it and to be where I am right now, because where I am right now is starting on that road to getting back to doing what I love, which is playing music."
Keith also paid tribute to his fans, friends and family, and talked about Nicole's influence on his new album Love, Pain And The Whole Crazy Thing. "A song like Once In A Lifetime is inspired by my marriage - it's a good, life-changing happening in my life," he said. "I think when you find your once-in-a-lifetime love, that's what everybody's looking for."
It's apparently what Beyonce is looking for, too, but the Dreamgirls star seemed less sure about who she would be tying the knot with. Despite dating current beau Jay Z for four years, the singer told reporters in London: "I hope I'll get married one day. I don't know when that will be. Or whom to." Her millionaire hip hop mogul boyfriend, meanwhile, recently said he saw marriage in the near future.
