With her phenomenally successful Las Vegas show entering its final year, you would think that Canadian chanteuse Celine Dion would be ready for a well-deserved break. But it seems that the 38-year-old is not planning on slowing down just yet, heading to New York to film the video for her upcoming French-language album D'elles.
Listening to tunes on her trendy gold iPod, Quebec-born Celine was spotted en route to the shoot during a break from her Las Vegas show A New Day, which resumes on February 28. The popular singer is also busy preparing for the May release of her latest album.
And though her Caesars Palace extravaganza is drawing to a close in December after a wildly successful five-year run, it looks like things will be ending on a high note. "As we prepare ourselves to say goodbye, I know this will be the best year yet," Celine recently said of plans to present a twist with extra songs and vibrant new costumes.
Celine signed a three-year contract with Caesar's Palace in March 2003, with the run being extended to 2007. Producers say nearly 2.5 million people have seen the show since it opened in The Colosseum, a £48 million theater built and designed for the production. And just last week, Celine was named the fifth richest woman in entertainment in Forbes magazine's top 20, with an estimated £127 million fortune.
