From the time Canadian superstars Michael Buble and Nelly Furtado arrived on the Grammy red carpet Sunday night - where the pair shared a friendly hug and sang an impromptu duet of Nelly's hit song Promiscuous - to the glitzy after-parties, they made the most of music's hottest night of the year.

While both lost out in their categories to legendary crooner Tony Bennett, it didn’t stop their celebratory spirit. Jazz sensation Michael arrived at the awards ceremony solo as his actress girlfriend Emily Blunt was at her own gala - the Bafta Awards in London. But he enjoyed celebrating his idol Tony's win.

"I think it's the biggest record of (his) life and I'm thrilled for Tony," he said.

For the ladies, of course, getting ready for the red carpet is fun in itself. After trying on 20 different dresses for the event, Nelly finally decided on a white and gold Roberto Cavalli number.

She looked fabulous as she took to the stage alongside fellow songstresses Natasha Bedingfield and Nicole Scherzinger, to present the best pop vocal album to hunky John Mayer, one of the night’s biggest winners.
