On a break from behind the wheel, Jacques Villeneuve has found a new formula that works for him - music. Embracing his artistic side, the hunky racecar driver and restaurateur took to the microphone this week at his own trendy Montreal nightclub, Newtown, singing five songs from his debut album Private Paradise.

"It felt great," the 35-year-old said after performing the self-penned tribute song Father - in honour of his late Formula One champion father Gilles - in a duet with his younger sister Melanie.

"It's the only personal song on the album. I don't write personal stuff and I don't want to sing personal stuff either, but this one, because it's with my sister, I'm quite happy doing it."

The dad-of-one wed his Parisienne love Johanna Martinez in Switzerland last year and just moved his family to Montreal - purchasing a $3 million home in the upscale Westmount area - but he is not ready to hang up his racing helmet just yet.

The former Indy Car, Indianapolis 500 and Formula One champ has set his sights on a different style of racing, planning to hit the NASCAR circuit in 2008. He also recently signed up to race in France's famous Le Mans 24-hour event in June.
