Wearing a swimsuit with panache is nothing new for Pamela Anderson, the stunning Canadian blonde who made her name running down the beach in a red one-piece for her hit series Baywatch. But she was sporting an extra-special metallic number at the weekend as she debuted in her three-month stint as assistant to Dutch magician Hans Klok in The Beauty Of Magic on Saturday.
Recently back from Cannes where she promoted her brother Gerry's comedy Blonde And Blonder, the mum-of-two - who has stepped into a role originally to be played by Carmen Electra - describes being a Vegas showgirl as "every girl's fantasy". And she certainly wowed audiences at the Planet Hollywood Resort And Casino Theatre when she took to the stage in a shimmery high-cut silver bathing suit, displaying a toned, sun-kissed physique.
"I love magic," says the mum-of-two, who is earning US$1 million per month for her new job. "I love doing things out of the ordinary, and of course I'm always up for an adventure."
Though the 39-year-old is afraid of heights, she puts her trust in Hans to levitate her and saw her in half during the set. "It's great," she jokes. "I'm much thinner now." They clearly made a great team as the 2000-strong crowd gave the illusionist - who just finished a sell-out tour in Europe - and his lovely assistants a standing ovation.
