He's best known for his portrayal of Hollywood movie star Vincent Chase in the hit TV series Entourage, so fans may not be aware that heart-throb Adrian Grenier also has musical flair. The multi-talented thesp jetted into Toronto at the start of the weekend with another entourage - New York folk rock band The Honey Brothers - to perform a low-key concert at one of the city's hottest nightclubs, Muzik.
"I get the best of both worlds," joked the multi-talented drummer before taking to the stage with Montreal-raised bandmate D.S. Posner and the rest of the outfit in front of a sell-out crowd. Unlike other Hollywood names, such as Bruce Willis and Keanu Reeves, who indulge in a little musical moonlighting on the side, Adrian, who has been with the band for six years, sees his musical side as very much part of his overall career. "The band... had a very organic following before I had begun working on Entourage. It's just another thing I like to do."
Certainly having the star of an Emmy-nominated TV show in their ranks has helped boost the formerly little-known folk-rock group's following. "People often come to see us for the wrong reasons," admits Adrian, saying the new attention is something of a double-edged sword. "It can be pretty funny sometimes, but it can also be distracting."
Since he played Anne Hathaway's boyfriend in Oscar-nominated 2006 flick The Devil Wears Prada, Adrian's profile has gone from strength to strength and the last year has been an especially busy one. Over the summer the 31-year-old, who recently wrapped big screen comedy Adventures Of Power, further expanded his talent base with a foray into the world of documentary filmmaking.
It's not been all work and no play for the chisel jawed New Mexico-born star, however. He's also sparked speculation over a romance with Paris Hilton, after spending time hanging out with the hotel heiress in Malibu.
