Ranking among the world's premiere cine events, Toronto film festival comes to a close on Saturday after ten action and celebrity-packed days.

Among the event's highlights was an excited Joaquin Phoenix leaping into the air with enthusiasm as he presented his new flick Reservation Road. He was joined on the red carpet at the screening of the much-hyped thriller by his co-star Jennifer Connelly, elegant in a stunning white strapless number.

Also adding to the glamorous atmosphere of the festival, which this year featured 350 films from 55 countries around the world, was local lass Rachel McAdams. In town to shoot The Time Traveller's Wife, the Ontario-born actress brought Forties-inspired chic to proceedings when she stepped out to the world premiere of her latest movie Married Life in a black and white retro affair.

Also drawing its fair share of famous faces was the party hosted by HELLO! magazine. Among guests mingling at the South Beach-inspired event, which featured an outdoor patio complete with palm trees and a pool, was the entire cast of hit TV series Degrassi: The Next Generation, plus Canadian Idol host Ben Mulroney and show judge Jake Gold.
