The Audrey Hepburn pixie crop, the slinky LBD, and of course the vertiginous heels – there was no mistaking Britain's style-conscious former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham as she stepped out in Dubai this week. Her hallmark uber polished appearance wasn't in honour of a fashion party or red carpet bash though, it was to mark an important event in the Beckham household – husband David's AC Milan debut.
Posh took her place in the VIP stands of the Emirates Sevens Stadium with the couple's three boys, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz, who were each kitted out in shirts bearing the colours of their dad's new team. And there was reason for the family to celebrate after the friendly game – though David only played the first half he won praise from the Italian press for his performance on the pitch.
While his family were all on hand to cheer on the 33-year-old sports star, Becks has confirmed they won't be a regular fixture pitch-side. Victoria and the boys will stay in LA, though she will be making frequent trips to the Italian fashion capital to see her other half.
"Of course it's difficult being away from my family," said David, who is currently on loan from his US side LA Galaxy. "But my children have to be settled and they go to school in Los Angeles so it's important they carry on their way of life."
