One is a former hot-head who in his heyday was the epitome of a rock'n'roll rebel, the other regularly makes headlines with his bad boy ways. When The Who's Roger Daltrey and Pete Doherty teamed up for a good cause, though, they were on their best behaviour.
Peter, the frontman of indie group Babyshambles, shared vocalist duties with The Who legend at a concert to raise funds for cancer research.
Backed by Pete's bandmates the singers ran through a number of Who classics, including Magic Bus and Substitute, plus some Johnny Cash covers.
They dedicated the performance to the memory of 16-year-old Daniel Squiers, a cancer patient, who became friends with both musicians before his death. To a standing ovation from the audience, which included Daniel's parents and sister, Roger described the teenager as a "good lad".
