On her last visit to these shores Paris Hilton made a beeline for royal hangout Whisky Mist nightclub in London. But returning to the capital this week the hotel heiress ruled out hooking up with Prince Harry following his split from Chelsy Davy.

Speaking during a TV interview to promote her new reality show, the bubbly blonde said: "I think he's a nice guy. I love Chelsy though - I think she's so sweet - so I wouldn't try anything."

Earlier the California socialite had sent the paparazzi into overdrive when she pulled up outside the studio in a customised pink taxi cab adorned with a Union flag.

The programme, Paris Hilton's British Best Friend, airs on Thursday, and will follow 12 young hopefuls as they vy to be crowned her official UK "bestie".

Asked if Amy Winehouse had been considered for the role Paris replied she loved the jazz diva's music, "but I don't know if I could handle that lifestyle".

Though the hotel heiress will be keeping her distance from the Prince, she was quite happy to socialise with other well-known faces including Britain's Got Talent winner George Sampson and Jade Jagger at a party later that evening
