Fans of Welsh singer Tom Jones may have noticed something unusual about their hero as he attended a Polish award ceremony this week. Still a Sex Bomb at 68, the veteran singer debuted a striking new 'silver fox' look.
For the first time in his career, the Pontypridd-born icon has stopped touching up his dark Celtic locks and reverted to his natural colour, admitting it was "time for a change".
He's also experimenting on the gigging front after announcing he'll embark on a series of 15 dates in small clubs across America next month, a marked departure from the packed arenas he usually plays.
He's also due to tour Britain and Europe in a similar run of intimate gigs this autumn, but female admirers should be warned, he's no longer as interested when women throw their underwear on stage.
"I don't capitalise on it as much as I used to," says the singer, whose new album, 24 Hours has just hit shelves. "I used to pick it up..., which I stopped doing because it was encouraging it."
