During the Antiques Roadshow's long history there have been numerous unforgettable scenarios to thrill its fans. Such as when jewellery found on a rubbish tip was discovered to be worth thousands of pounds, or the moment when the owners of a cracked teapot were informed that its sale would cover the purchase of their council house.

Now the programme's enthusiasts will be able to relive their favourite finds in a 15-part spin-off programme fronted by Fiona Bruce, presenter of the regular BBC1 Sunday evening slot.

The new show, Priceless Antiques Roadshow, will be screened daily at 6.30pm from March 9 for three weeks on BBC2.

"We're asked countless questions at roadshows about those magic moments - like what's the most valuable bargain buy ever seen? And have we ever smashed a family heirloom by accident?" explains Fiona.

"People are fascinated by such things. Now we'll be able to give them the answers."
