By her own admission Peaches Geldof's marriage to Max Drummey was unlikely to last 'for ever'. And six months after the couple wed in Las Vegas, they have announced they are going their separate ways.
"After much soul searching we have made the decision to end our marriage," the pair announced in a joint statement released at the weekend.
"Our parting is amicable and both of us still respect and care about each other immensely. There were no other people involved in this decision and we both look forward to a future as good friends."
Bob Geldof's 19-year-old daughter, who divides her time between London and New York where she works for a magazine, married the Chester French band member, 24, in August 2008, one month after their first meeting.
