After spending the last seven years living in the public eye, a time she has described as "the best ever", Jade Goody is determined to continue her fight against cancer in the media spotlight.

While her publicist Max Clifford has expressed reservations about the current level of coverage and tried to prevent her being photographed, the 27-year-old mum-of-two, who shot to fame in 2002 as a contestant on Big Brother, has told him "I don't want to stop them".

"My attitude to Jade in recent times is: 'Don't you think enough is enough'," he says. "But you have to take on board that’s it's her life. She has the right to decide her own fate."

Despite the rollercoaster nature of Jade's fame - she's gone from a vilified figure of ridicule to winning hearts with her courage - Mr Clifford revealed: "Those seven years have been the happiest, most self-fulfilling."
