As friends and family prepare to say their final farewell to Jade Goody on April 4, her mum Jackiey Budden has been overseeing one of her daughter's last requests – that she be laid to rest in her wedding gown.
Grieving Jackiey took a last glimpse at her daughter dressed in the £3,500 ivory Manuel Mota gown she was given by Harrods boss Mohamed Al Fayed for her February nuptials. And she says her spirits were lifted by seeing the late reality star. "Jade looked so beautiful," she said. "She looked like sleeping beauty."
As the family finalise arrangements for the service, details of Jade's will have emerged. The reality TV star, who died on Mother's day, has reportedly left her boys £2 million each in a trust fund.
"Everything I have, my houses, my money, is going to my sons," she said before passing away. "I always wanted my family to have what I never could, no matter what it might cost."
Jade's husband Jack Tweed is understood to have been offered her £1 million Essex home, but turned it down telling her he wouldn't be able to live there without her. It has instead been left to Jackiey.
Meanwhile news of Jade's demise has reached beyond Britain shores, prompting US sporting star Lance Armstrong to comment on the news of her death on his online blog.
"Sad news about Jade Goody. 27 years young and a mother of two," wrote the cyclist, who overcame his own battle with cancer. "Not right. Not right at all. Damn."
