Bono's sunglasses have become as integral to his image as his distinctive singing voice. But the shades were left on dry land this week as the dad-of-two splashed around with his boys in the balmy waters of the Caribbean.
Even the most ardent fans of the U2 superstar would have had problems recognising their idol, who was clearly in holiday mode as he pulled faces and roared as sons Elijah, nine, and seven-year-old John playfully bonked him on the head with their bodyboards.
After making a splash in the azure waters, the boisterous trio returned to the shore where Bono's wife of 26 years, Ali Hewson, was waiting with dry towels.
The family has been enjoying a sunshine break on the island with model Helena Christensen and her son Mingus, nine. The group are long-time pals and often holiday together.
